#MusicMonday: Forever (Live) by Kari Jobe #christian #love

Tears are streaming down my face.

What a crybaby I’ve become.

In my defense, I did watch the video in full screen and very loud. And it’s just an incredibly powerful video. I heard this song on Spotify on my way to church and decided it should be the next #MusicMonday.

This isn’t my first time watching this video. And not my first time to cry either.

It’s as if, specifically with Christian music, I get this little glimpse of how much God loves me… and it is overwhelming. And so beautiful.

I say glimpse because I have have logically reasoned in my mind that I must not know, most of the time, how much He loves me.

If I did, I would make different choices. Say different things. Have different thoughts. Right?

And then I watch a video like Forever by Kari Jobe and, for a brief moment, it all makes sense.

I don’t have to have all the answers. All I have to do is glorify My Father in heaven.

Easier said than done, I know. And the times that it is easier is when I can participate in a beautiful, powerful song of worship, like this one. Music makes it easier for me to slip into undistracted praise and worship.

Because my purpose on earth is to glorify God.

And we are FEELING God’s love- amen?! There is something so right about the passion of Kari, the band and the attendees in this song. I want to be dancing right alongside them all. And when God gives me a new body in heaven, I’ll ask for a singing voice like Kari’s too. So lovely.

If you stick until the end of the vid, a guy comes out to perform slam poetry and it’s pretty exciting. He reminds me of Andy Mineo and Lecrae – taking what is a “tough guy thing” and spinning it for the glory of God. Great role models for young men.

The whole video is like an emotional pep-rally for God and I dig it.

I don’t know how anyone could watch this whole thing and not be inspired and energized by this reminder of what is true. He won! He loves us! And…

we get to be with Him… FOREVER!!!
