Take Every Thought Captive #HowToLive #Christians

This is a hard one.  I want to be in control of my emotions.  I don’t want to fly off the handle, or say something I regret, or let one little thing ruin my morning.

But I also don’t really want to put in the work to get there.

The above video includes 3 verses of my #30Verses30Days challenge.  What jumps out to me the most about these verses Paul writes to the Church in Corinth is my frienemy, Discipline.  Paul instructs Christians to strengthen our mental discipline.  We are to have a heightened awareness of the thoughts in our head and conscientiously squash the ones that are not from God.

Ugh, this is going to be exhausting.  It’s a zoo up there.

2 Corinthians 10: 3-5

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
