10 More LinkedIn Features That Can Supercharge Your Personal Brand (Part 2)

Back again – because 10 LinkedIn tips just aren’t enough.

If you missed it, here are the first 10.

Adding to my last post, you already know LinkedIn is a goldmine if you know where to click. So, as promised, here’s Part 2 with 10 more features that can boost your visibility, authority, and connections — plus a little bonus at the end that most people totally miss.

Let’s get into it

1. Connect Button Hack Switching from “Follow” to “Connect” (or vice versa) can change how people engage with you. If you’re building relationships, make it easy for them to connect.

2. Profile Headline — Use It Wisely This isn’t just your job title. It’s prime real estate. Tell people what you actually do and who you help. Example: “Helping business owners get seen + paid | Visibility Consultant.”

3. About Section Storytelling Stop pasting your resume here. Use this space to tell your story, share your mission, and invite people to reach out. People connect with people — not bullet points.

4. Custom CTA Buttons (Company Pages) If you’re running a LinkedIn Company Page, you can add custom call-to-action buttons like “Visit Website” or “Contact Us.” Minor tweak, big difference.

5. Services Page Freelancer? Consultant? Coach? Turn on LinkedIn’s Services Page so people know exactly how they can hire you.

6. LinkedIn Groups Old school but still effective if you find the right ones. Or better yet — start your own and become the go-to person in your niche.

7. Saved Searches + Alerts If you’re using LinkedIn for lead gen, save your searches and set alerts. Let LinkedIn do the heavy lifting and deliver potential leads to your inbox.

8. Hashtag Strategy Use 2-4 relevant hashtags to expand your reach. Better yet, follow hashtags in your industry to stay on top of trends and join conversations.

9. Repost with Your Thoughts Don’t just share — add value. When you repost someone’s content, include your take. That’s how you position yourself as a thinker, not just a follower.

10. Kudos + Recommendations Give genuine shoutouts. It’s a great way to build relationships — and often, people will return the favor on your profile.

🎁 Bonus Tip: The “Name Pronunciation” Feature

This one’s sneaky — LinkedIn lets you record a 10-second audio clip to pronounce your name. But here’s the fun part — you can use it as a mini elevator pitch.

Something like: “Hi, I’m Jen Knoedl — helping business owners get seen, heard, and paid. Let’s connect!”

Ready to Actually Use These?

You don’t have to do everything at once — but start somewhere. LinkedIn rewards consistency and conversation, not perfection.
