Picnik: Austin’s First Paleo Cafe

You know a movement is legit when there is a whole cafe dedicated to it.

If you haven’t hear of “paleo” you have been under a rock and, considering world news- I wish I could join you. In the meantime, we can eat right and drink butter coffee to keep us right and sustainably energized.

My brother turned me on to Picnik and I now forward that knowledge on to you.

“But I can buy a $5 coffee anywhere,” you say…

Yes, but is it a Bullet Coffee with grass-fed butter and MCT oil?

Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Not only is this little spot in Austin, super cute and ripe for a… well- picnic, every aspect seems to be thoroughly thought through and accessible to those of us who want to eat “clean” but lack the time (and possibly resources) to do it.

Picnik is a solid spot in Austin and local support will undoubtedly encourage other cafes to embrace a more intentional menu. Yay!

If you are in Austin, check out Picnik and tell them I sent you. Otherwise- make your own Paleo creations and invite your friends over for a healthy dose of caffeine.
