I’m punny, huh?

Or corny. I guess depending on your sense of humor.

I do love bananas though. And I’m not alone. Apparently 93% of Americans eat bananas, which is impressive considering all the wacky diets people are on.

As I continue to work on my Better Smarter Health Guide book, I am including a list of must-have pantry items. I bring this up because- you guessed it… bananas are on that list.

In the video above, I talk about how my appealing (sorry) friends are…

Portable, cheap, satisfying and sweet is pretty hard to beat.

Hey- that rhymes!

But did you know that though we always hear about how much potassium bananas provide- it’s not nearly as much as beans, apricots, carrots, bell peppers and sweet potatoes. Just a little tidbit. But, bananas are an excellent source of vitamin B6 and have about 3 grams of fiber each.

Keeping you regular. Nice.

Lots of other health benefits and tidbits here and here.

Yep. Bananas are good guys. I use them in a host of my Healthy Recipes like bread, ice cream and snacks. Yum.

Don’t throw them out. Use it as an excuse to make a smoothie… you know… tomorrow… after you freeze it.

How do you go ‘bananas’ about your health? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for dropping by!
