The Purpose Driven Life #Christian #BookClub

Why am I here?  What should I do with my life?  What was I put on this earth to do?  What happens to me when I die?  This can’t be all there is to life, can it?

If you are anything like me, you’ve asked these questions to a friend, yourself and/or God.  I’ve also asked almost every smart person I know.  And lots of people at bars.

I’ve gotten a variety of responses.

Lately, I’ve decided to ask the smartest EVER- God.  In seeking my life’s purpose, I’m positioning myself to hear Him through His Word.

“Just tell me what to do”, I’ve said to The Lord.  “I get it.  I can’t find what I am looking for outside of you.  Please help me to do your Your will.”

Well… when you ask God what He wants you to do with your life- be prepared that it might not be the things for which you would have hoped.  It hasn’t been for me.  I am struggling with this on the daily.

In that vein, my video production peer and pal, Monika Rydzewski and I are hosting a walk through of The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.  Included in this book is a 40-day challenge.  There are associated exercises and daily videos.  If you want to go “all in” on this like I do- it’s a decent chunk of time.  You are making a pretty good commitment for at least 40 days.

But aren’t you worth it?  Weren’t you created by The Maker of Heaven and earth?  Didn’t He bless you with wonderful gifts?

That’s what I thought.

I’m pretty sure He knows the answer.
